What is the Varicella Vaccine?

The Varicella Vaccine is a vaccine containing a live attenuated virus that simulates infection with the Varicella-Zoster Virus. It stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies against the virus, enabling effective defense against future exposures. The attenuated virus briefly replicates in the body without causing disease, establishing long-lasting immunity.

• Protective Effect: After vaccination, the immune system can quickly recognize and eliminate the virus, preventing chickenpox or reducing symptoms.

Who Should Receive the Varicella Vaccine?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the Varicella Vaccine for children, adolescents, and adults who have never had chickenpox.

Recommended Groups:

• Children: First dose at 12-15 months, second dose at 4-6 years.
• Adolescents and Adults (13 years and older): Two doses for those with no history of chickenpox or vaccination, spaced at least 28 days apart.
• High-Risk Groups:
  • Healthcare workers
  • Teachers and childcare staff
  • International travelers
  • Military personnel
  • Women of childbearing age who are not pregnant

Groups Not Recommended for Vaccination:

• Pregnant women or those suspected of being pregnant (should vaccinate after delivery).
• Individuals with severe immune deficiencies (e.g., HIV/AIDS) or undergoing immunosuppressive therapy.
• Those who have recently received a blood transfusion or immune globulin.

Trinity Medical Centre will contact customers during subsequent business hours to schedule the time and location for the vaccination appointment. • This package is exclusively available on Trinity Medical Centre’s online store and must be conducted at designated Trinity Medical Centres. It cannot be used with other promotions. The offer is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for full or partial cash value.
• Customers are required to make an appointment for and complete the first dose of the vaccine within 90 days from the date of purchase. If the vaccine requires only a single dose, it must be completed within this timeframe. All vaccinations (multi-dose) must be completed within 6 months from the date of the first dose; otherwise, they will become void.
• If this voucher or the confirmation email is lost or stolen, we will not accept any liability and will not provide any reissue in such case.
• All customers must present identification documents and the successful payment confirmation email during registration at the centre to be eligible for the service.
• If a parent or guardian purchases the service for a minor, the service user must accompany the parent or guardian to the centre for the examination.
