【Oct Cancer Care Offer】Cancer Routine Health Check-up (Male)

The risk of cancer increases with age, making regular cancer screenings essential. Through screening, potential cancers can be detected early, leading to improved treatment outcomes and survival rates. Cancer marker tests aim to detect specific biomarkers for certain cancers, helping to assess an individual’s cancer risk and monitor the disease course.

Cancer marker screening evaluates whether an individual is at risk of cancer by detecting specific biomarkers in the blood. For example, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) can be used to screen for prostate cancer, while carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) can be used for colorectal cancer and other types of cancer. These markers help physicians identify potential cancers early, allowing for further examination and treatment.

Abdominal ultrasound is a non-invasive examination method that helps detect abnormalities in internal abdominal organs, including the liver, kidneys, pancreas, and gallbladder. This examination is particularly effective for identifying lumps, cysts, or other structural changes, enabling early detection of issues such as liver or kidney cancer.

Combining cancer marker screening and abdominal ultrasound can provide a more comprehensive health assessment, aiding in the early detection of cancer and improving treatment efficacy. Therefore, regular screenings are especially important for high-risk populations.

There are several important reasons for undergoing cancer marker screening:

    • Early detection: Many cancers may not have obvious symptoms in their early stages. Screening can help identify potential cancers early, thereby increasing the success rate of treatment.
    • Reduced mortality: Early diagnosis often means more effective treatment options, significantly lowering the risk of cancer-related death.
    • Risk assessment: By detecting tumor markers, doctors can assess an individual’s cancer risk and develop corresponding monitoring and prevention strategies.
    • Monitoring disease progression: For patients already diagnosed with cancer, regular screenings can help monitor disease progression and treatment effectiveness, allowing timely adjustments to the treatment plan.
    • Improved quality of life: Early detection and treatment of cancer can enhance the patient’s quality of life, reducing suffering and discomfort during the treatment process.

Our cancer marker screening program aims to provide a comprehensive health assessment for both men and women, facilitating the early detection of cancer risks and the development of corresponding medical plans. It is recommended to undergo relevant examinations regularly based on individual health status and risk factors to maintain your health.

Cancer marker screening for men covers the following types of cancer:

  • Liver cancer: Detected through alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) testing, enabling early identification of liver abnormalities.
  • Colorectal cancer: Screened using fecal occult blood test (FOBT) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) to assess intestinal health.
  • Pancreatic cancer: Evaluated through CA 19-9 markers to assess pancreatic health.
  • Stomach cancer: CA 72-4 testing helps monitor stomach conditions.
  • Squamous cell carcinoma: Early identification of associated risks through squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC) testing.
  • Nasopharyngeal cancer: Risk assessed by detecting EBV antibodies.
  • Prostate cancer: Screened using prostate-specific antigen (PSA).
